About

I'm a software engineer at Orangeleaf Consulting in Petaling Jaya. Most of my time goes to Dxter, the company's AI assistant for enterprise operations, and to the tooling that gets AI coding agents working usefully on Mendix projects. Before that it was straight delivery: integrations and multi-tenant applications, the kind a client notices immediately when they break.

The work I'm best at sits between a platform and the people who have to live with it. In practice that means a lot of integration and a lot of explaining, to developers who need to know why a model is shaped the way it is and to businesses who need to know what the software will and won't do for them. I also mentor: code review, structured learning, certification preparation. A team that can maintain what it built is usually worth more than a delivery that landed a month earlier.

I studied computer science at the University of Malaya, specialising in artificial intelligence, and finished in 2021. I got there via a data science internship and a stretch doing general IT for a small company, which taught me more about how businesses actually run than any of the technical work did.

What holds my attention now is the gap between model-based platforms and AI agents. Agents are very good at reading and rewriting text, and a low-code application isn't text. Closing that is less about better models than about giving the platform a surface an agent can work against.

Earlier

Before Orangeleaf I organised for Google Developer Groups Cloud KL and led the UM App Club, co-organised a tech career fair and a hackathon, and ran workshops on Google Cloud and on coding for law students. I built a few small products around the same time: Zest CV, LastQR, Plain Notes and LinkBio. None of them are maintained. The full dates are in /resume.json if you want them.
